Overcoming Distractions

Treat what you're trying to accomplish seriously and you'll be able to avoid things that are competing for your attention.

Your environment can be a distraction. Make sure your work area is not cluttered. Put away the phone while studying and silence incoming notifications from "fun" apps. Don't be too close to a TV. Keep away from any distracting sounds.

Try putting on headphones when you are studying. You can listen to music without words or just use the headphones to create a buffer of silence. This will keep those distracting noises away.
